Jade Reverie is planned to be a SFW, for profit zine featuring original, xianxia inspired characters. Xianxia (仙俠), translated as “immortal heroes,” is a genre of Chinese fantasy that tells stories of characters in worlds filled with fantastical beings, with themes such as magic, fate, and the metaphysical. This zine may also take inspiration from the wuxia genre and gufeng aesthetics.
